- Next up on Cr2’s sister label Cr2trax, comes a very nice release from Spencer Parker in the form of Open Your Eyes. It’s a solid release featuring two remixes and has been played by the likes of Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli, Pete Tong and Tiefschwarz just to name a few.
The Original Mix is a nice array of smooth electric house that flows delightfully thanks to a bouncy but seductive main bassline. It is smooth without ever going over the top, and it maintains a bit of a retro feel thanks to the high pitched bleeps that flow in the same tones as the low end sounds. Quality work by Spencer.
The Luke Dzierzek Mix is indicative of the great form this young man is in at the moment. It lifts the release up with an injection of energy, thanks to an array of pulsating basslines, crisp and twisted beats as well as smooth melodies and effects. It is a stunning piece of work yet again by a man who can do no wrong.
The Danny Freakazoid & David Jimenez Remix closes proceedings with a more minimal approach that still has a boost of energy thanks to the low end rumbles and eerie sounds. It closes off an excellent release that owes greatly to the brilliant remix by Luke.
