Ulysses & Nicklcat - Make You Feel Good

  • A loose cymbal linked with a rim shot gives the intro on "Make You Feel Good" an old skool feel before the electric bass suddenly grabs your insides with its own melody. "Take the physical challenge" sings a voice with possible chorus FX, as piano keys are used to bridge into long strings and full verse lines. The verses are all sung in time with the electric bass lines, snare hits and background loop before a big break leaves us with the strings, keys and a break beat style snare. A '70s funk acid line then comes in off the snare roll dropping back to the vocal and original beat. This is a very versatile Funky Electro House record with all of the sounds really complimenting one another over the course of the whole track. However, at only 4:35 minutes long be ready with your next track when the vocal drops out. Some great FX with an aggressive bass line brings in the kick and shaker on "Polaris" before a haunting vocal alongside synth stabs compliment the existing patterns. A breakdown into the vocal, synth and shaker exploits how tripped out you and your audience may well be but there's no need to worry; the head and torso will be thrusting again when the kick comes back with a crash and more mind-funked vocals and bass lines. Drum rolls and several unique synth stabs help break up the mix perfectly before a large sweep breaks down the beat, lacing several small FX stabs and a long "Oooooo" pad is brought in. Everything is filtered out for a sudden outro which will sound solid if you're on top of your game! Haunting vocal with a deep, aggressive groove this is great deep electro house for late into the night and beyond.
