Manero’s White Lady mix of “The Darwin’s Theory” by Bongo Manero is a fine example of the trademark sound that Lawler has developed over the last few years, dark and pounding, yet terribly addictive. Sharam J & Nick K’s “Shaka” has an irresistible baseline while “The Sound Of The Floor” by Menace is without a doubt a highlight of the mix, it’s echoing vocals should be enough to get you on your feet. Peter Bailey’s “U Need It” also deserves special mention.
Dark Drums 2 comes very highly recommended, especially for those who appreciate Lawler’s sound. Lawler mixes the darker and tribal records brilliantly with the funkier vocal tracks, and never lets the mix get monotonous. If you liked his Nubreed effort, than Dark Drums 2 will definitely hit the spot as well.
