- 8MilesHigh, Keith Lotta, and Dmitry Lovebone team up to bring KG Beats & Music’s inaugural release, “Knock, Knock – Funk E.P.” Based out of Chicago, the group brings together each individual’s unique talents to produce what can be best described as “dirty house.”
“Knock, Knock – Funk” is centered around a deep, throbbing bass line that takes the listener from start to finish. The track has been well received by members of the Balance Promote Group in the States, and is set to makes it way across the globe. Featuring a variety of twists and turns that weave in and around the bass line, “Knock, Knock – Funk” is – if nothing else – guaranteed to get some booty’s shaking on the dance floor.
“Do What You Gotta Do” is the B-side to the record, and finds it influences coming more from the disco-tinged side of house music. One listen immediately brings to mind such names as Wally Lopez, Dr. Kucho, Chus, and Ceballos. Based around a vocal sample, the track would easily work well in the first half of one’s set to get the crowd’s attention.
