Jono Fernandez - Lo Runner / Suede

  • In his low 20’s, Jono Fernandez is considered the baby at the Zero Tolerance studios. Very much like his Zero counterpart, Luke Chable, Jono is one of the young brigades in which we will be seeing quality for years to come, rather than just the present future. He has already been featured on a mix cd, that being Seaman’s Global Underground release and this release has its strengths. Side A : ‘Lo Runner’ is on the A-side and begins with a trademark zero tolerance aura. Intricate drum patterns and subtle dark sounds in the background. An eerie and delicate wailing breakdown comes midway into the track. It’s not an obvious record, but its intricacies are sweetly executed. Side B : ‘Suede’ has a slightly more upbeat feel to it. A Wink like acid sound hums throughout the tune and the breakdown is quite low key with subtle effects and sounds. All in all a good solid release for Zero Tolerance and for Jono personally. This release is definitely is a club type tune and demands club play to get the results.
