Fast forward two years from 2006 and the first set of remixes appeared on Italy's Rebirth label. Luke Solomon, Skylark and Telespazio each took a turn remaking the tune into a dance floor stormer with tougher basslines, while Und's own musical output slowed to a hush. And two years later? Well, we still don't know exactly what they're up to, except to say that Und has been resurrected by Trapez Ltd with another round of remixes of "Fox in the Box" by Christian Martin, Salz, C.E.S.M. and Alex Nagshineh. Why two years is the magic number for this track is unclear, but Proton Radio's Harry Avers may have had a hand in this recent set or remixes. (Trapez thanks him specifically for having "so much faith in the track.")
The latest mixes are a good deal tamer than the last, mostly maintaining the relaxed vibe of the original. Christian Martin's Dub Mix, however, is a grimy version you might expect from a member of the Dirtybird family, while Cologne duo Salz's Dub-o-matic Mix takes something away from that bouncing bassline to craft a rather ho-hum tech house track. The UK's C.E.S.M. do their usual damage, hatching an electro version, while their compatriot Alex Nagshineh delivers a solid tech house mix, adding some fashionable conga drums to his version and highlighting the trippy, frenetic vibe of the original.
