Het Klaslokaal – Persectives on Neuroscience #3
The Brain: Dissection Practical

What structures can we distinguish in the brain and are these present in every animal? Following up on the lecture on the 20th of March in the series Persective on Neuroscience, De School offers the opportunity to dissect a fixated calf brain under guidance of anatomy tutor Max Laansma. In this lecture he will discuss what makes the human brain so unique.

Note: attending Het Klaslokaal – The Brain: Awake and Sleeping is a requirement for participation in this practical!

Perspectives on Neuroscience is a lecture series of Het Klaslokaal that explores the human brain.
Our brain is considered to be the most complex object known today, and how it works is still largely a mystery. Understanding how it works, as well as its enigmatic relation to the mind, involves the joint efforts of widely different researchers and theoreticians. Our increasing understanding of the brain is likely to permeate and transform many aspects of our lives in the future.
