Junior Boy's Own have unveiled plans for a retrospective double disc mix, looking back over 20 years in the game.
After it was
announced late last month that DJ History duo
Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton had comprehensively compiled editions of the Boy's Own fanzine spanning 1986 to 1992, the releasing arm of the outfit have now unveiled details surrounding their hook up with UK house imprint Defected in celebration of 20 years in the business. For those, "unfortunate enough to be under 30," Junior Boy's Own was the imprint headed by
Terry Farley,
Andrew Weatherall, Steve Maize and Cymon Eckles, who released seminal genre-defining cuts from the likes of
Underworld,
The Chemical Brothers and
X-Press 2. All of the above are set for inclusion on
A Boy's Own Odyssey. Acid House Scrapes & Capers and feature alongside classics from Primal Scream, The Farm, Black Science Orchestra and River Ocean.
