  • Field Day have confirmed a second wave of artists for this summer's festival in Victoria Park, including Carl Craig, who will play a special set of his 69 material. At least among collectors and connoisseurs, the several records Craig produced as 69 are some of the most treasured in his catalog. Released primarily between 1991 and 1995, they showed a raw and often breakbeat driven side of the Detroit producer, most famously on the track "Desire." Barring a few tracks that trickled out in the past few years, no new material has come from the project since the '90s. According to a press release, Craig will perform as 69 four times this year around the world, though no info has come through about the other dates (aside from Movement). Other additions to the lineup include Erol Alkan, Benga, Villagers, Brooklyn duo Creep and a back-to-back set from Kieran Hebden (AKA Four Tet) and James Holden. All these artists join a bill that already features Matthew Dear, Actress, Hype Williams, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Pearson Sound and many more.
