  • Andrew Morgan will headline Mutual Dreaming in Brooklyn on January 5th. Morgan is the head of the DC-based People's Potential Unlimited, a label that mostly reissues obscure funk and dance music from the '70s and '80s. He'll DJ at 285 Kent along with fellow boogie enthusiast Tom Noble, who is an associate of Future Times in addition to PPU. Live sets from new People's Potential Unlimited signee Moon B from Atlanta and L.I.E.S. artist Terekke will round out the lineup. This Mutual Dreaming party follows in the tradition of the "PPU Video Party" DVDs, which featured rare and abstract footage of events and other curiosities. The visuals come from Luke Wyatt, who produced the DVDs and also makes music under the name Torn Hawk, and will blanket two walls of the venue along with additional audiovisual work from promoter Aurora Halal. Tickets for the event are available on RA.
