Berlin Atonal reveals New Codes warm-up parties

- Details of three Berlin Atonal warm-up parties have been revealed. Berlin Atonal was originally due to take place in late July, but was moved to August as a result of serious technical difficulties. Organisers have now revealed that a series of events called New Codes will be held on the original dates of July 25th through the 27th. On the 25th and 26th, they'll go down across three rooms adjacent to Kraftwerk Berlin (where the main festival takes place)—Tresor, Globus and OHM. Ticket holders will be able to walk from venue to venue as they please. Surgeon, Alien Rain (AKA Milton Bradley), a joint live show from Deadbeat and Tikman, and an extended set from Peverelist are locked in for Friday. On Saturday, Dopplereffekt, Kangding Ray, TM-404 and Ital & Halal will play live, with DJ sets coming from Regis and Abdulla Rashim. Experimental promoters Contort have been invited to host a free Sunday taking place at OHM from midday. Inner8, one half of slick techno duo Dadub, will debut a new live show, Samuel Kerridge and Shapednoise have been locked in for a joint set, and Chicago native Stave will make his Berlin debut.
