Abdulla Rashim, Samuel Kerridge and Claudio PRC will also play the three-day festival in Chubu this month.
This year's Rural festival in Chubu, Japan, will kick off on July 19th.
Since it began in 2009 in the mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture, Rural has been offering a boutique techno event with forward-thinking programming and unique surroundings. This year's festival, which is capped at 1,500 attendees, will again showcase a selection of European, American and homegrown electronic acts, with Downwards boss Regis topping the bill. He'll be one of a number of international live performers including labelmate Samuel Kerridge, Prologue's Abdulla Rashim, Hubble, Black Rain and Plaster.
On the DJ front, Claudio PRC, Benjamin Fehr and Shawn O'Sullivan will be making the flight over, while Japanese selectors DJ Nobu and Gonno will also be stepping behind the decks. A second, indoor stage will be almost exclusively manned by local artists, with Haruka, Ametsub and Chris SSG joining the lineup.
Rural 2014 will take place at Mountain Park Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture from July 19th to 21st. Set times and a map are published on the Rural website and tickets are available here on RA.
