Parisian DJ & producer Frankie has been plugging away at his own funky take on minimal for a couple of years now. He’s the owner and operator of Frankie Records, who’ve released the likes of Massi DL, Todd Sines and Frankie himself on a string of rated 12”s. Latest release on the label sees six weird n funky cuts by Frankie, while on disc two selected artists remix past Frankie cuts. Feedback so far has been good: “’Pero’ is now one of my new favorite songs,” says Claude VonStroke. “It actually sounds like there is a little digital dog whimpering for food.” Troy Pierce on Frankie #20: “Like it!”
