Latest volume in the Balance series is a triple-disc mix from Lee Burridge. 'Balance 012' arrives in September.

The mix is Burridge's first solo compilation since 2003's '24:7', and across three discs presents a tidy snapshot of the current state of house and techno, ranging from deep house du jour (Efdemin, Ferrer & Sydenham, Marcus Worgull), to intricate minimal (Pheek, Onur Ozer) to more pumping techno (Alexi Delano & Xpansul, Paul Ritch, Par Grindvik).

Thu, 16 Apr 2009I disagree about disc two. I think its the stongest of the three, i think it flows well and builds very nicely.

Exellent CD. up there with Masiello's.

Tue, 07 Apr 2009a week after listening to this, 4.5 does not seem stretched. Why did I not buy this earlier, hmm?

Kudos!

Thu, 02 Apr 2009a heavy dose of beats, clicks and bumps, good enjoyment this. but 4.5/5 might be going a bit too far.

Wed, 23 Jan 2008Why is everyone playing minimal nowadays?? i love minimal but after a while its will probably be pretty boring...

This new balance CD is great because it really has a real fresh clubby sound but its not really surprising and not really emotional. Lots of minimal prod have this little something but here its sounds very efficient but something is missing... and its a pity!

The best of the serie will stay for the me the James Holden one which is still a paradise for my hears.. )
