British gun for hire Ewan Pearson compiles a 2CD set of remixes on ‘Piece Work’, out in late September.

To most producers, remixing a pop track for the dancefloor is a sideline, but English producer Ewan Pearson makes a career, not to mention an art, out of it. Aside from his Partial Arts tracks with collaborator Al Usher, all of Pearson’s production output these days is dance remixes: 58 records and counting over the last six years.

Time for a compilation then. ‘Piece Work’ compiles the best of Pearson’s catalogue, including remixes of The Chemical Brothers, Freeform Five, Franz Ferdinand, the Rapture, Pet Shop Boys, Goldfrapp and Depeche Mode.

Watch out also for the 'Piece Work' EP on vinyl too, which collects three of Pearson's most distinctive remixes on one 12": a total rethink of The Chem's 'The Golden Path', a vocal-free schaffel version of Goldfrapp's 'Train' and his grand sweeping dance take on Cortney Tidwell's 'Don´t Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up' from earlier this year.
