Smallfish Records is best known as a well established music shop specialising in several styles of alternative music. Although the physical store closed in June 2006, Smallfish continues online via a relaunched website.

The affiliated label was intially born to create an avenue for the members of staff to put out music but is also interested in releasing music by like-minded individuals and artists who have played in-store shows at the shop.
