It is with those words by Andrew Weatherall that the Get The Curse Music boys have embarked on their remarkable journey devoted to infamous music, better living through hedonism and dance floor debauchery.



Get The Curse's first incarnation, in 2005, was that of a blog created by a handful of dance music aficionados from Paris. In a few months, it positioned itself as one of the leaders of the online electronic music press, with an unrivaled editorial line that produced interviews, playlists and podcasts not only showcasing the work of top DJs and producers but also revealing new talent to the world. Then came the club night, a monthly residency that began in Paris' Social Club and graduated to the capital's techno institution, the legendary Rex Club.


More than 160 podcasts and sold out residencies weren't enough for the proverbially hard to please Parisians: the time came for the collective to launch GET THE CURSE MUSIC, a vinyl and digital record label created with the intention of releasing material to be filed under an unlikely combination of fucked-up techno, druggy electro, nightmarish disco and gloomy house



With a robust and diverse roster, the label artists excel in their own niche in order to exercise their very personal sense of elegance and mastery of arcane codes of a very jackin' art-de-vivre. Clement Meyer is the master of twisted club anthems and has built an instantly recognizable sound focused on the darkest grooves. Olibusta champions an old school approach and is a devout practitioner of funky bass lines. Le Loup is a house prodigy with an attention to detail of the highest order, and duo Darabi have developed their narcotic approach to dance music via slowed down disco and ecstatic grooves.
