Massimiliano Pagliara is often described as Daniel Wang's protégé but it was clear from his first full length album, Focus For Infinity on the Live at Robert Johnson label, that Massi's style had evolved into something completely different than that of Wang's. A Little White Earbuds review of the album describe his compositions as "expansive slow-burners" as opposed to Wang's tight loops.
Focus For Infinity was placed number 5 in Phonica Records albums of 2011.
Massi's DJ sets encapsulate the best of eclectic disco and house both past and present and this style has not gone unnoticed in some of Berlin's best clubs such as Club 103, SO36, Week-End, Cookies, NBI (Berlin Hilton), Tape club, Berghain, Tresor, Sabotage, Paloma bar, Möbel olfe and Robert Johnson in Frankfurt.
Massimiliano Pagliara makes his Irish debut Underground at the Cellar on May 12th.
