Yousef Presents Circus www.yousefcircus.co.uk returns to centre stage on Friday July 26th in Liverpool, the leading bastion of house and techno music bringing three world-leading debutants to the city. With http://bombaibiza.com/ starting in two weeks, this is a pivotal moment in the illustrious club’s already instrumental history, one which has seen Circus rise into the highest echelons of the global electronic music community. One of just a very few truly iconic parties – and rarer still, presided over by a DJ of Yousef’s own repute – Circus has not only influenced the UK’s forward-thinking take of house music, but brought this to the world stage, too, always working with the biggest stars and championing the most innovative new names.
Visionary founder Yousef curates his club, manages his label www.circusrecordings.com and has never been in greater demand as a DJ. From playing to 10,000 people at the EDC in Las Vegas, there’s still no place quite like the iconic Theatre space which is Yousef’s spiritual home. Making his way to Circus for the first time is one of the year’s biggest names – Solomun. From Mixmag’s DJ Of The Year in 2012 to a double residency in Ibiza this season, the www.diynamic.com label boss finally makes his debut.
And fresh from mixing one third of the new www.crosstownrebels.com Rebel Rave 3 CD, Below resident Subb An brings his take on all electronic music. From DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Act in 2011 and his One Records label with Adam Shelton, Subb An has remixed everyone from Jamie Woon to Lana Del Ray and is one of the new breed of forward-thinking talent. MK aka Mark Kinchen also plays, the much-lauded US DJ and producer a returning figure-head of house music after a decade and a half’s hiatus. Collaborating with Hot Creations and mixing the latest Defected compilation, his original 90s produced music has never sounded more in vogue now, influencing the likes of Bicep and Huxley. Circus residents Lewis Boardman and Scott Lewis are in support.
