There a few names in the international DJ circuit that demand the utmost respect. John Digweed tops this list, as well as recently topping the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ’s in the world award.

There are so many reasons why Digweed has arrived where he is today. From the many timeless and master pieces that are his mix compilations, be them with Sasha such as the flawless Northern Exposure Series or the legendary Renaissance Mix Collection, to his more recent Global Underground and Bedrock releases, it is clear to see that ‘Diggers’ cares that little bit extra.

“Under any circumstances the man will excel and excite the people who have learned to appreciate a performer who cares just a little bit more. On a stage in a field to tens of thousands of people, or to a couple of hundred decked out in a basement club, the atmosphere midway through one of John's infamous extended sets is always a step beyond the standard dance floor fervour.”

His influence in recent times has been phenomenal. The impact he has had to his audiences in the years that have passed of recent is nothing short of inspirational. This especially has been displayed with his weekly Kiss FM show in London that showcases the broad spectrum of Digweed’s musical appeal. His ability to keep things fresh and interesting is what separates him from being just a good DJ to something a little bit special.

To add to his numerous duties, John also runs his beloved label, Bedrock records. The label has also showcased immense production talent such as Brancaccio and Aisher and Pole Folder and CP, as well as displaying Digweed’s very own production talent with partner in crime Nick Muir. Records such as “Heaven Scent”, “Voices” as well as remixes of “Lovely Day”, “The Fall” and “Walking On Fire” all indicate that Digweed is one step ahead in his productions as well as his DJ’ing. This is further shown by the wonderful bedrock nights on the first Thursday and Friday of each month at Heaven, London and The Beach, Brighton respectively.
