  • Prepare to get Moody: Need2Soul will host a rare performance from Kenny Dixon Jr on February 28th. The Detroit house legend will headline the gig at Cargo, which will be the first time that he's played in the capital since November, where he filled in as a last-minute replacement for Rick Wilhite at Bar Rumba. Dixon Jr will be joined behind the decks by 1xtra's Benji B, who'll indulge the same soulful house side of his sound that could be heard on his recent mix for the Need2Soul label. As if that wasn't enough, the start of the night will also see a special audio/visual screening, and whilst the organisers are reluctant to give much away, we've discovered that it "will be a tribute to a musical project that has had phenomenal repercussions on everything good in music from heavy metal to techno." The screening will begin at 9:30 PM, so intrigued punters should get down early if they don't want to miss out.
