  • Matthew Herbert is set to take over Robert-Johnson for two hours later this month. On Wednesday 30th September, the English producer will place microphones in various spots inside and outside the club (including the toilets, we're informed) and record everything he can from 8-10pm. Every person present will be invited to make noises, and the resulting recordings will be manipulated and sequenced in a full-length entitled One Club. According to Herbert, the plan is to use no other sound sources in the final record. Attendees will have their name taken down so that they can be listed on the sleeve, as well as receiving a free promo copy. However, Matthew has decided to respect the wishes of anyone who wants to remain anonymous. The event will also be filmed, and Herbert will play a DJ set once the recording session is finished. This isn't the only project that Matthew is working on, however, with a "low-key collection of songs" called One One, and a record sampling the entire life of a pig—simply titled One Pig— forthcoming in the near future.
