  • Just days before the elusive Earthdance 2009 gets underway, details of the "friends only" campout have emerged. After the chaos of last year's public event—which was shut down by local police—organisers have decided to get back to basics, providing a low-key bush roots party for crew and members, as a thank you to "everyone who has contributed over the years and made the event possible." Slam and Silicone Soul, both currently on tour in Australia, will be headlining the three-day event, with sundown and sunrise sets, respectively. A host of locals will join in proceedings as well, with Future Classic regulars Jamie Lloyd and Jimi Polar leading the charge. The camping grounds are located on a riverside property approximately two hours north of Sydney. Heated tents, toilets and showers will be available for use, while food and drinks will be on hand for all. Exact details of the location are yet to be announced, but will become available closer to the weekend from the official Earthdance site. Please note that details will only be visible to members, and entry to the camping grounds will be granted upon a $50 donation.
