  • Glasgow's Wireblock, Dress 2 Sweat and Stuff Records imprints are set to merge this month, and they'll be holding two launch parties to celebrate. Their forthcoming releases will now go under the banner of Numbers, which takes its name from the long-running party that was promoted by the men behind all three labels. We profiled Wireblock as our label of the month back in June, and fans of the imprint will be happy to learn that the first two releases on Numbers (by Lazer Sword and Redinho respectively) will carry on in the same diverse yet bass-heavy vein. Lazer Sword will also bring their electro-infused instrumental hip-hop to Glasgow for the Numbers launch party at the Sub Club this Friday, where they'll be joined by residents (and Wireblock co-founders) Nelson and Goodhand as well as the debut live performance from good friend and Stuff signing Rustie. With the producer currently working on material for a forthcoming album, revellers should expect plenty of new material to be aired on the night in between classics such as "Jagz The Smack" and "Zig-Zag." For the London party on Thursday 19th November, the line-up will totally change, with Swiss beatsmith and MPC addict Dorian Concept set to perform live. The party at Plastic People will also see Numbers showcase their fresh talent, with Redinho and Deadboy (whose "If U Want" has been getting major play from the likes of Modeselektor, Martyn and Ikonika) both lined up to hit the decks alongside Dress 2 Sweat head honcho and Rubadub employee Jackmaster.
