The ex-Skull Disco man will bring his live set along to Hard Wax's Sunday session at Horst later this month.
The Skull Disco co-founder has been living in Berlin for the past couple of years and has been wholeheartedly embraced by the city's figureheads of electronic music. Perlon boss Zip coaxed the producer into releasing his Three EPs project on the label, while his connection with Hard Wax's Torsten Pröfrock (aka T++)–who has produced for both Skull Disco and Appleblim's Apple Pips imprint–has meant that he retains a good relationship with the renowned record store.
The shop's monthly Wax Treatment parties have given their staff an environment in which to showcase a wider spectrum of their musical influences than usual, with dub and reggae being a common theme at previous events. Basic Channel's Mark Ernestus will be on hand to demonstrate his love of all things Jamaican with the help of Tikiman, Koki and Freddy Mellow, and local selector Jah Hops is also set to make his Wax Treatment debut. DJ Pete and Dubplates & Mastering engineer CGB-1 will round off the event, which kicks off at 6pm and runs through until the early hours of Monday.
