Fever Ray, David Guetta, Major Lazer and more will also play the famous festival in the desert in April.
Coachella is known for its eclectic lineups, which always include at least a handful of special reunion performances. This year, as in other years, electronic music is mostly represented by indie crossover acts like Hot Chip, 2ManyDJs and LCD Soundsystem. Hawtin previously DJ'd the festival in 2006, but was given one of the earliest possible slots and ended up playing to a mostly empty tent. Given this context, it's unclear how much buzz Plastikman will stir up at the festival, despite the allure his comeback surely holds for minimal fans the world over.
The main headliners at this year's festival are Jay-Z, Muse and Gorillaz, With LCD Soundsystem, Them Crooked Vultures, Faith No More, Tiesto, Pavement and Thom Yorke holding down the rest of the prime performance slots. Other performers of note include Fever Ray, Aeroplane, The Whitest Boy Alive and Flying Lotus, as well as specially revived outfits like The Specials, Public Image Limited, Sly and the Family Stone, Devo and Gary Numan.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 22nd.
