  • Hyperdub boss Steve Goodman AKA Kode9 will top the bill at Numbers' next Glasgow bash at Sub Club on March 5th. The Friday night slot will be the first time that the Numbers crew will have hosted a party at the venue this year, and they've gone all out to pack as much quality music as possible into the night's four-hour duration. Kode9 has been riding on a high over the past year, celebrating the fifth anniversary of his Hyperdub label as well as releasing his first book, Sonic Warfare: Sound, Affect, and the Ecology of Fear. Currently at work on a follow up to 2006's Memories Of The Future LP with Spaceape, he'll take time out from recording to headline the night with his energetic mix of funky, dubstep and other bass-heavy styles. His fellow DJs on the night are equally adept genre blenders: Martyn has been pushing a mix of techno, house and dubstep, and recently put his name to the 50th mix for fabric's main mix series, while Floating Points has already put his name to instrumental hip-hop, lush slow house and kaleidoscopic 2-step in the space of just a few releases. A genetic scientist by day, Sam Shepherd also channels his diverse range into his DJ sets, mixing up old disco and hip-hop alongside house and dubstep. Tickets for Numbers' triple-header are now available to purchase via RA Tickets.
