The New York outfit will be joined by fellow dance-punkers !!! and Massive Attack at the Zagreb-based festival this year.
LCD Soundsystem have been named as one of the first headliners for the Croatian festival, which will take place this year from June 22-23.
INmusic will be celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2010, having already hosted artists such as Kraftwerk, The Prodigy, Hot Chip and Sonic Youth in previous years, and it'll return to its usual site at Zagreb's Croatian Youth Island, which is on Lake Jarun. There will be a slight difference this year, however, as the festival organisers have allowed camping for the first time in the event's history, creating a six-day site for those who don't live close by or fancy roughing it.
INmusic boasts six different stages, hosting anything from indie rock through to techno, but there are three specific acts of interest to dance music fans in their first round of announcements. James Murphy and his band of cowbell-bangers will play live as LCD Soundsystem, possibly even showcasing some of the new material that they've been busy writing over the last few months. Massive Attack will bring their recent Heligoland album to the main stage, complete with the visuals that they've been working on for the last five years. And !!! will return to INmusic after appearing there in 2007, demonstrating their high energy synergy of disco and punk-funk.
