- The French house head will release his debut album at the end of April.
French house producer Chris Carrier will release his debut full-length at the end of next month, entitled Gosse de Paris, or "The Kid from Paris."
In addition to being an ode to his home city, the album shows Carrier paying homage to his early influences. "For a very long time I've wanted to raise a project around the black music which rocked my childhood," he says. "In my family we spent all our time listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder and many others less known." As a result, Gosse de Paris is touched with echoes of disco, funk and soul, wound together in an analogue house aesthetic. This makes it a perfect fit for Robsoul Recordings, the Paris-based imprint that's previously released records by DJ W!LD, Joss Moog and DJ Sneak.
