- The Mannheim-based label will release a vinyl compilation later this month.
Oslo Records will release its first compilation later this month, curiously entitled Don't Believe The Hype.
The label first debuted in 2007 with Christian Burkhardt's Kreiskollaps, and has since released over a dozen EPs, plus 12 releases on its sub-label, Love Letters From Oslo. Housing artists like Miss Fitz, Sascha Dive, and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, Oslo rose to fame in 2008 by championing a distinct brand of organic minimal house, as embodied by records like Johnny D's Orbitalife or Vera and Federico Molinari's It Ain't Music. On Don't Believe the Hype, label heads Nekes and Molinari compile new tracks by many of the label's core artists, resulting in a four-vinyl, thirteen track package.
