After an 18 month absence from the Australian club circuit, electronic rock trio Pivot are set to return to the stage, playing dates in Sydney and Melbourne next month.
The three-piece have been making music since 2005, but it was in 2008 that the one-time RA podcasters grabbed international attention with the release of O Soundtrack My Heart via Warp Records. With a sound that experiments with ambience, breakbeat and traditional rock all stitched together with a love for analogue synthesizers, Pivot have found themselves compared to the likes of Battles and Animal Collective. The trio will be releasing a second full-length through Warp later this year.
Sydney residents will be able to catch Pivot live at the Annandale Hotel, while Melbourne fans will be treated to an intimate set at the East Brunswick Club.
