  • Pioneer have announced the arrival of two new products: The DJM-350 mixer and CDJ-350 digital multi-player. Following on from the recent launch of Pioneer's new top-of-the range CDJ-2000 and DJM-2000 models, the new DJM-350 and CDJ-350 will look to repackage some of the newer feature additions to those high-end products at a more affordable price point. In the case of the CDJ-350, Pioneer's rekordbox technology is the most notable carry over from their higher grade models. Loop functionality will be offered through a series of features—Beat Loop (matches the beat and repeats a 4-beat loop), Loop Divide (plays a loop on an alternate rhythmic pattern) and Hot Loop (return to loop start point and plays)— while USB connectivity will allow for use alongside a MIDI controller, or as an audio interface. And although the vast majority of DJs would call 'foul play' at such a thing, there'll also be an auto BPM lock button which instantly matches the tempo of a track to a preset master BPM. The two channel DJM-350 mixer, meanwhile, also sports a USB port which enables direct recording of DJ sets. Users will have the option of splitting their WAV quality files on the fly via a dedicated 'track mark' button, potentially saving a great deal of time on post-mix editing. Four effects will also be offered—Filter, Crush, Jet and Gate—while three band isolaters (+9dB to -8) will take care of the EQ end of things. The CDJ-350 and DJM-350 will be available as of June priced at 599 Euros and 499 Euros, respectively.
