  • Deep Freq, a new effects processing suite from Native Instruments, is now available. NI are turning to matters of frequency manipulation for their latest Kore-powered program. Designed in part to complement their existing Deep Reconstructions and Deep Transformations effects plug-ins, Deep Freq uses a combination of "filters, resonators, frequency shifting, re-synthesis, granular synthesis and other advanced algorithms" to fundamentally alter the shape of an audio sample's tonality. Over 150 multi-effect combinations can be utilized and are said to be based on the engines of NI's Absynth, Guitar Rig and Reaktor. Denis Gökdag, who put together the aforementioned Deep Reconstructions, is the man behind this one; Hannover-based producer and Desolat boss Martin Buttrich is among the producers who have apparently already used Deep Freq on their tracks. Native Instruments' Deep Freq is available now with a suggested retail price of $79/69 euro.
