  • The organizers behind the Turin festival have launched a contest to find Italy's next wave of production talent.

  • Comitato Italia 150 and Club To Club festival have announced the launch of "La musica elettronica italiana nel 2061" (Italian electronic music in 2061), a search to ultimately identify 11 tracks that best represent the future of Italian electronic music. Open to all Italian artists living at home or abroad, the competition aims to look boldly into the future of electronic music in the country and is open to all styles and genres within this bracket. Applications are being accepted from 14th June 2010 until 31st July 2010 after which a panel made up of "prestigious experts, including electronic music festival art directors, journalists and record labels" will select a group of tracks which will be available to listen to as of September via Club To Club's official site. The public will then be able to vote on their favourite track which will determine the final two winners, while a further nine tracks will be selected by the panel and join the winners to make up an official compilation. Winners will be announced during the 2010 edition of Club To Club festival which takes place at the beginning of November in Turin. To enter and for further details visit premio 2061.
