- The Danish trio will release their first album in eight years next month.
Danish production outfit System have a new album in the works called B, slated for release next month on Rump Recordings.
System first debuted in 2002, but the group's members—Jesper Skaaning, Anders Remmer and Thomas Knak—have been collaborating for more than 15 years, working under the guises Future 3 and D.A.W.N. prior to their most recent moniker. In the past, their sound has often combined challenging elements of IDM with melodies and hints of rhythm, and B continues on this trajectory, with some tracks like "All" evoking the glitch of Raster Noton and others, like "Stars," calling to mind Rhythm & Sound. It will be the trio's first full-length since their debut eight years ago on ~scape. In the meantime, each producer has put out a swath of solo material: Remmer as Dub Tractor, Skaaning as Acustic and Knak as Opiate.
