  • British producer Lars Sandberg, better known as Funk D'Void, will be embarking on an Australian mini-tour this November. Sandberg is hard to pigeonhole. As a producer, his sound ranges from progressive house to melodic techno. The many record labels he's released music on over the years are testament to that, with the likes of Soma Records, Bedrock and Cocoon all hosting releases from the Scottish artist. Sandberg's DJ sets are as equally assorted. His most significant mix achievement has been helming the fourth addition in Soma's Si.Fi.Hi.Fi back in 2008, which saw deep techno and tech house blended together for one the series' most significant instalments. These days, his sets are of a similar vein, evidenced by his current October chart, where deep house of Trentemøller and Vincenzo feature alongside the dusty dub techno of Shed. Sandberg will be kicking his Australian visit off with a set celebrating the launch of new Sydney club night Deeper Sounds at the Civic Underground. He'll then move on for shows at Melbourne's New Guernica and Brisbane's Bar Soma. Tickets to both his Sydney and Melbourne appearances are available now from RA Tickets.
