  • Berlin fashion crew Wasted German Youth are hosting a party at Brunnenstr. 70 in December, all of the proceeds from which will go to the Children's Cancer Foundation. When they're not printing those black t-shirts and vinyl stickers that seem to be everywhere you look in Berlin, Wasted German Youth throw parties at various clubs around the country. The upcoming Rave Tut Gut will be their third charity event this year, following a shindig last summer in Kreuzberg and another last spring in Ludwigsfelde. Those parties hosted well-known jocks from Mobilee, Highgrade Records and Bar25, but the next event will work a little differently: amateur DJs will compete for placement on the lineup by posting their mixes on Rave Tut Gut's facebook page, which fans of Wasted German Youth will vote on. Submissions can be made until November 30th, and five DJs total will be chosen. In terms of style, the mixes should lean toward electro, house and techno, though promoters say "crazy shit is more than welcome." In addition to getting to play for up to 500 people, winning DJs will get free drinks, taxi fare, ten guestlist spots and, naturally, a few t-shirts.
