  • Digital Mystikz have added two east coast dates to their upcoming Australian tour, heading to Melbourne and Brisbane in a few weeks' time. The duo is made up longtime South London dubstep figures Mala and Cooki. Their reputation is largely built on the back of their roles at the DMZ club night, originally held at Old Street's Plastic People club in Central London. In its early days, DMZ hosted some of dubstep's most prominent names, with current superstars Skream, Benga and Caspa all spinning regularly in their early careers. As far as their DJ sets on the road go, Digital Mystikz don't stray too far from the sound of the bulk of the records that get rinsed at their club night: oscillating saw synths, big snares and plenty of reverb, all while rarely dropping below 140 BPM. The pair will get their mini-tour underway with a set at Melbourne's Brown Alley, from where they'll venture north to head up Dark Morass at the Step Inn in Brisbane.
