- The Chicago producer will make a hometown appearance next weekend alongside Derrick Carter.
- Local legends Green Velvet and Derrick Carter will join forces for a night in Chicago next Friday, April 8th at The Mid. Both producers have been part of the Chicago electronic music scene for more than 20 years. Curtis Jones, under his Green Velvet and Cajmere aliases, has produced classics like "Percolater" and "Flash," while operating his own Cajual and Relief labels. He'll play live on the night as Green Velvet in The Mid's main room. Carter, fresh from the release of his Fabric mix CD and news of Classic Music's relaunch, will join in the fun with a DJ set.
