  • XL Recordings have unveiled details for the next album by Friendly Fires, entitled Pala. The record comes three years after Friendly Fires' self-titled debut album, a catchy and upbeat affair that launched them to international indie stardom. While that record was supposedly recorded entirely in a garage, Pala was completed at studios in New York, London and Yvetot, France, as well as the English trio's hometown of St. Albans. Based on the first single, "Live Those Days Tonight" (which you stream on the band's official website), the album promises more of Friendly Fire's club-friendly indie pop. Pala features collaborations with The Harlem Gospel choir and Holy Ghost member Alex Frankel, and come with artwork by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø. It will be their first release since their Suck My Deck mix from last September. Tracklist 01. Live Those Days Tonight 02. Blue Cassette 03. Running Away 04. Hawaiian Air 05. Hurting 06. Pala 07. Show Me Lights 08. True Love 09. Pull Me Back to Earth 10. Chimes 11. Helpless XL Recordings will release Pala on May 16th, 2011
