  • Native Instruments have announced details of their latest audio interface, Komplete Audio 6. The new six channel offering comes packing four analog ins/outs, digital in/out, MIDI and a headphone output (with source switch and level control) all wrapped up in a similar design style to NI's prior audio interfaces. The Komplete Audio 6 is totally USB powered and is said to provide 100% latency-free monitoring for recording live sources via its direct monitoring option. Also included is a mono switch for recording such sources (vocals, guitars), "high-quality" pre-amps with gain controls and a status LEDs for all signals. In addition to the hardware, "light" versions of Traktor 2 and Cubase 5 come bundled, as well as Komplete Elements 6 which comprises a total of 1,000 instruments/effects. Native Instruments will release Komplete Audio 6 in May 2011 at a suggested retail price of $339/€299.
