Marcel Dettmann, Dubfire and Modeselektor will also play the Portuguese festival in July.
Formally known as AntiPop Festival, the annual music event has taken place in the idyllic coastline of Portugal's northwestern-most municipality since 2005. Over the years it has presented some of the biggest names in techno and electronic music, including artists like Richie Hawtin, Paul Kalkbrenner, James Holden and Ellen Allien. This year offers another international lineup, culminating in a Red Bull Music Academy-curated showcase on the Saturday. For Modeselektor, Magda and Marco Carola, this will be their second time at Viana do Castelo, whilst Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann will be making his Neopop debut. Disco maverick DJ Harvey will be presenting his Locussolus project. As for live acts, Canadian electro-pop duo Junior Boys, Crosstown Rebels' Maceo Plex and esteemed German producer Martin Buttrich will all strut their stuff throughout the weekend.
