Varsity Allstars announces its summer lineup

- The 5th season of Chicago day parties will host DJ Three and Dandy Jack at Moretti's.
- Chicago's Varsity Allstars team has revealed the dates and initial details for another summer of Sunday parties. Now in its 5th year, the event has grown into a popular summer destination for windy city house and techno fans, with artists like Seth Troxler, Anja Schneider and Cassy taking over the headlining "MVP" honors. The venue is once again Moretti's, an Italian restaurant that will boast two areas of music all day: an indoor room and bar, and an outdoor patio flanked by a volleyball court and a grassy space where guests can relax and join in extracurricular lawn games. As usual, athletic attire is strongly encouraged, and a barbeque will be available throughout the day to help you through the 12-hour marathon. So far, two events have been scheduled: New York house selector DJ Three will headline the July 17th opening party, and the September 11th edition will see Dandy Jack and Sonja Moonear perform live as Junction SM. Support for the parties will come from Naveen G and Dory, respectively. A third event is said to be in the works, but for now aspiring athletes can look forward to Chicago native Mike Khoury returning to his role as "team captain" in both July and September to lead an as-yet unannounced cast of local talent.
