- The Chicago house veteran will play a private party in London this weekend.
On Friday 8th July Derrick Carter will play a special disco set at a private space in East London.
Modeled on an event in April that saw Francois K play in the warehouse surroundings of the CitiPost Building, the forthcoming private party with Carter is due to be just that: a six-hour solo performance from one of Chicago's long-standing house figures. Billed as "Derrick does disco dammit," the one-off performance is also a rare chance to see the house legend indulge his passion for disco. The event will take place in a secret location in East London, equipped with a giant disco ball and bespoke sound system.
This is the fifth installment of Tiger Beer's "Not Known" series—eight events taking place in partnership with a range of London promoters that has so far delivered a Halloween music and horror film night, a retro New York block party and two bass-centric events in collaboration with Get Me! and Off Modern.
