  • One day after unveiling RA Japan, Resident Advisor has announced details for its tenth anniversary party in Tokyo, taking place at eleven on October 9th. For the eighth edition of our worldwide series, the X has curated a night of modern house and techno. Mathew Jonson has made his mark on electronic music in a number of ways, be it with his own inspired productions or the releases on his label, Wagon Repair, but it's his ever-evolving live act that makes him a favorite at festivals and clubs (as documented by his RA Podcast, a recording of his deadly performance at Labyrinth 2010). Sammy Dee, a longtime fixture of Berlin's underground scene, embodies the modern sounds of the legendary Perlon label as well as his own new imprint, Ultrastretch. Aside from being a seasoned selector, Sety is the brains behind one of house music's most unorthodox labels: Circus Company, home to Nicolas Jaar, dOP and Nôze. As for Stereociti, he's one of Toyko's most intriguing new acts, a house artist who just released his debut album on Mojuba. This time the poster is designed by Michael Cina, an artist best known by his work for Ghostly International. Cina's contribution to the series takes full advantage of the screen printing process: each poster uses between one and four screens, and each combination of screens creates a different set of patterns and colors. 15 variations of the poster exist in the series overall. As usual, the poster is available exclusively on RA. You can see all 15 versions of the poster in this animated gif:
