  • Ambient techno artist Brock Van Wey, AKA bvdub, is ready to release his next full-length, I Remember. Due for release next month, the album reinterprets a 2007 album by Glacial Movements founder Alessandro Tedeschi called Mørketid. Tedeschi sent the album to Van Wey last year as a way of introducing him to the label, and it had an immediate impact on the American producer. "From the opening notes I was mesmerized," he says. "The album brought back all my memories of my time in the early rave scene, the dreams I (and everyone, really) had for the beautiful utopia that only existed in our minds, and which we were only able to reach but a few times." On I Remember, Van Wey creates highly personal original works that use Tedeschi's album as a basis. He considers his productions "translations" rather than remixes, as they "serve more as my own narratives on the memories and feelings his original work evoked." The album comes barely more than a year after his last effort for Glacial Movements, The Art of Dying Alone. Tracklist 01. This Place Has Only Known Sadness 02. We Said Forever 03.
