  • Henry Saiz will play two shows this weekend on a boat cruise in Brisbane and at Rainbow Serpent Festival in Lexton, Victoria. 2011 was a big year for the young Spaniard, with the release of his Balance 019 mix CD and a twelve-inch collaboration with Israeli producer Guy J released on seminal English label Bedrock Records. The Balance compilation was made up entirely entirely of Saiz's own tracks, both solo and works with other producers including Ricardo Tobar and Jesse Somfay, illustrating the prolificacy of his short career thus far. This will be his third visit to Australia, the last being back in back in early 2010. Saturday's gig in Brisbane will be held in the afternoon, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM, setting sail from Brett's Wharf Pier. Locals Rich Curtis, Christopher Brooks and Patrick Sweeney will take care of the support slots. Then, down at Rainbow Serpent Festival, Saiz will play the final set of the weekend on the market stage from 4:30 PM. The festival begins on Friday the 27th of January and features an extensive lineup, including Dapayk, Nicone and Secret Cinema.
