- Jeroen Snik mixes up techno, dubstep and drum & bass on the UK radio station's next compilation.
Icicle has mixed Rinse:19, due for release in April.
Much like some of Rinse's latest mixes, not mention their radio programs, the upcoming release highlights the grey areas between bass music's various subgenres—something Icicle himself has been doing for years. "I just decided that I wanted to incorporate more into my sets," says the Belgian DJ and producer, real name Jeroen Snik. "Why should I limit myself?" Rinse:19 shows the full breadth of Icicle's range, not least in terms of tempo: the mix starts out somewhere around 130 BPM and finishes somewhere near 180. It showcases his skills as a producer as well, with 7 of the 19 tracks coming from his own catalogue.
