The monthly series wraps up this month with a four-night event at The Vortex Jazz Club, featuring Andy Stott, Cut Hands, Roly Porter and more.
London experimental night Exotic Pylon will host a four-night festival this month at their usual haunt, The Vortex Jazz Club.
Exotic Pylon have been putting on avant-garde electronic nights at The Vortex since 2010, but now they've decided to set aside the series and focus on their record label, which launched last year. This month's festival is a way of, in the promoters' own words, going out "with an (analogueglitchdronebreak) bang." The programme is classic Exotic Pylon, with "knackered house" specialist Andy Stott leading a cast of glitchy, spaced out and often challenging live acts, including Roly Porter (half of Vex'd), Cut Hands (AKA English experimental veteran William Bennett) and Black To Comm, a solo project from Dekorder label boss Marc Richter. The Swedish collective Klub Kristallen will enhance the atmosphere with multi-screen projections and other psychedelic decor.
