  • Kevin Griffiths will embark on a Tsuba Records tour of Australia later this month. Since it began in 2006, the London label has released records by a range of artists including Dyed Soundorom, Motorcitysoul, Spencer Parker and Steve Lawler. 2011 was a particularly productive year for the imprint, clocking up more than a dozen releases, five of which appeared on the newly established vinyl only sub-label, Tsuba Limited. While the label is Griffiths' main professional focus, he's remained active on the production front, having released an original single last year, in collaboration with Peace Division member Justin Drake, on UK imprint Fear of Flying. What time is left over is spent DJing and representing the Tsuba brand at parties around the world. For his fifth Australian appearance, Griffiths will play three shows, beginning with a Fluidlife party at OneSixOne in Melbourne on April 20th. The following evening he'll play at One22 in Sydney, with support from locals Marc Jarvin, Bella Sarris and Morgan. His third and final stop will be in Brisbane for a river cruise held by Subtrakt and Metric. Rikki Newton, Adam Swain and Wadza will be amongst the home town lineup when the boat departs at midday on April 28th. Tickets are available on RA for the Sydney and Brisbane shows.
